Spinosaurus
Spinosaurus aegyptiacus
“The Spine Lizard”
Spinosaurus, meaning 'spine lizard', was the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever discovered - even bigger than T-Rex! Its most striking feature was the tall sail on its back, formed by elongated spines up to 7 feet tall. Recent discoveries reveal it was semi-aquatic, spending much of its time in water hunting fish like a giant crocodile.
